How humans should approach Mars - a proposal

The reason for this unusual propsal:
In my opinion, manned space travel should only be given the thumbs up if the copernican-principle was successfully validated for the laws of life in advance.

The proposal:
Various space agencies are planning to send an unmanned space transporter to Mars in the 2030s.
This opportunity should be used for experiments to check whether life functions beyond Earth or not.
This suggestion sounds like opportunistic market shouting, but in the end such an approach would bring more advantages than disadvantages. Here are some of them:

  • Situational awareness:
People (so far) don't realize what this means, that the Copernican principle is unvalidated for the laws of life. You literally send people into the unknown without being aware of the consequences or being aware of how to deal with a mission that failed for 'reasons that are difficult to recognize'. An approach as suggested here would have the advantage that astronauts can better deal with the 'unknown' situation and its outcome.

  • Preparation for the unexpected:
People here on earth wouldn't be left feeling shattered, but would think in advance about how to deal with it in the event of failure.

  • Securing the scientific future in the medium term:
The way to deal with a possible failure would underline the importance of biological research away from Earth. This should not be underestimated, because the current crises(2024) worldwide could create increasing incomprehension for research in the astrobiological field and lead to an (too) early cessation of important researches.

  • Takes away the time pressure:
The proposed approach would reduce the time pressure for a manned Mars mission, but on the other hand would ensure that it still has to be carried out (one day).

  • Need for a manned mission to Mars:
We have to go to Mars one day. As this is the only way to really ensure that our understanding of “human beings”, “life” and “consciousness” is correct, but first we should validate if the of life are present in interplanetary space so that the dangerous situation is clear to the astronauts and that they can decide and prepare for this journey into the unknown based on their own free will. In the event that the laws of life are actually no longer there, it would be very difficult to find a measurable reason from the outside. The astronauts' experiences and reports about the psychosomatic events within themselves are of importance here that should not be underestimated.

  • Restoration of trust in recognized sciences:
The official sciences have suffered serious damage to their reputation as a result of the corona pandemic. But if they take unusual theories that come from folklore at least so seriously, so that these lead to a more conscientious approach to a manned Mars mission, then this would be beneficial for the relationship between academies and the people.

Summary:
In the end, such an approach would have more positive effects than negative ones. People should only give a “thumbs up” to manned space travel to Mars once it has been sufficiently proven that all important laws of life also work away from Earth.
